Location Tracking Policy
How and when crew location sharing works — and when it never does.
Last updated: July 2026
1. What location sharing is
During an active assignment, HiHi Media crew members can share their live location so that the operations team and the client of that project can see the crew's progress to the venue (for example “on the way” and “arrived”).
2. When location is collected
Location is shared only between the moment a crew member taps “Start Journey” and the moment they tap “Arrived” or “Stop Sharing”.
Sharing requires the crew member's explicit browser permission and shows a clear, always-visible indicator while active.
There is no background tracking: closing the app, locking the phone or ending the assignment stops location updates.
3. Who can see it
Live location is visible only to HiHi Media administrators and to the client of the specific project the crew member is travelling to, and only during the active assignment.
Location data is never shown publicly and never shared with other clients.
4. What we store
Location points (latitude, longitude, accuracy and time) recorded during an active assignment are stored as an audit log.
Stored location history is retained for up to 90 days and then deleted.
5. Crew consent
Location sharing is part of active job assignments; crew members are informed of this policy and can raise concerns with management. Sharing outside active assignments never occurs.
